Fairfield, CT - Following a weekend split at the Nike Soccer Classic, the Pioneer men's soccer team returns to the Nutmeg State to face the No. 22 Huskies of UConn Wednesday night in Storrs. Game time is 7:00 pm.
The Pioneers split a a pair of games at the Nike Soccer Classic. SHU fell to UW-Green Bay, 2-1 in overtime on Saturday and then topped Georgia State, 3-1 on Sunday. Freshman Jesper Fredriksson scored three of the Pioneers four goals on the weekend, inlcuding two in Sunday's win. That perfomance earned him Brine/NEC Player and Rookie of the Week honors.
