
PIoneers Can't Crack Army Defense, Fall 1-0

West Point, NY - Garrett Dresel scored the game's only goal in the 80th minute and A.J. Glubzinski made four saves in goal to lead Army to a 1-0 win in men's soccer action Tuesday night at the U.S. Military Academy.
The only goal came at the 79:20 mark of the match. Dresel was able to fire a free kick from 25 yards out over the Pioneer wall and past SHU goaltender Matt Jones (Stoke-on-Trent, England) for his fourth goal of the year.
The Black Knights outshot the Pioneers 19-16 in the match. Jones made seven saves to keep SHU in the game but the Pioneers could not find the back of the net.
The Pioneers can clinch a spot in the NEC playoffs with a win in their regular season finale against Fairleight Dickinson on Saturday. Senior Day festivities will preceed the game which is set for a 2:00 pm kick-off at Campus Field.
