For one day 9 year-old Laina Ciacciarella (pictured on the right with the SHU Cheerleaders) got to be a member of the Sacred Heart Pioneer cheerleading team as she joined the squad on the sidelines during the October 23rd football game vs. Georgetown.
Laina's brother, 11 year-old Christopher (pictured below with the SHU football team), asked for a unique present for his birthday, a spot on the sidelines during a college football game. The Pioneer community worked together to make this wish come true and the SHU cheerleaders made it their mission to make sure both Ciacciarella kids had a special day.
Laina and Christopher's mother, Kristi Ciacciarella, was ecstatic about the experiences had by her children, "I cannot tell you how grateful I am to the entire SHU football and cheerleading teams. My children had, by far, one of the very best and most memorable days of their lives."
