(Fairfield, CT) – Marcello Castro (Parana, Brazil) is ranked 7th in the Northeast Conference Top 20 rankings as determined by TopDrawerSoccer.com, which ranks the top 20 players in each Division I Soccer conference. The junior defender leads the team with three goals, including two game-winners for the 5-4-2 Pioneers.
Castro was named a Third Team All-American last season, scoring five goals. He was also named NEC Defensive Player of the Year, All-NEC First Team, and honored on the All-NEC Tournament team.
