
Stow Sharp, But Field Hockey Loses 1-0 at Monmouth

(West Long Branch, NJ) – Kim Stow (Norwalk, CT) made 13 saves, but the only shot that got past her proved to be the difference in a 1-0 for the Sacred Heart Field Hockey team at Monmouth Sunday afternoon.
Michelle Pieczynski scored on a tip off a cross pass from Patricia O'Dwyer at 19:16. Stow stopped everything else, including 11 shots on goal by the Hawks in the second half. Pieczynski led the way with six total shots, five of them on goal.
The Pioneers are next in action at Bryant Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
