Field Hockey Falls to Quinnipiac 5-2 in Season Finale

(Hamden, CT) – The Quinnipiac Bobcats beat the Sacred Heart Pioneer Field Hockey 5-2 Friday afternoon in the regular season finale.
The Bobcats took an early lead on goals by Danielle Allan (unassisted) at 3:11 and Kimberly Cunniff (Amanda Danziger) at 12:02. Sarah Bergman (Blandon, PA) scored her fourth goal of the season at 26:11 to cut the deficit in half, picking up a rebound off a corner.
In the second half, Megan McCreedy scored unassisted at 39:01, followed 2:38 later by Danielle Allan to give Quinnipiac a 4-1 lead. Lindsay Kasten (Fair Haven, NJ) got one back for Sacred Heart at 46:35, one-timing a pass from Leah Salindong (Spring City, PA) on a two-on-one. However, Allan iced the game for Quinnipiac at 67:45 on a pass from Megan McCreedy.
Kim Stow (Norwalk, CT) made 10 saves in her finale game for Sacred Heart.
