FAIRFIELD, CT (April 7, 2012) - The Sacred Heart men's tennis team fell to 1-3 in Northeast Conference play this season with a 5-2 loss at home to Monmouth on Saturday afternoon.  The Pioneers fell to 4-9 overall.

Senior Chadd Sullo (Orange, CT) notched a win a #1 singles for the Pioneers, beating Freddy Marcinkowski.  The Pioneers also got a point at the #3 singles spot as Luka Bagi (Branford, CT) got the win when Laurence Heads was forced to retire in the third set.  Heads won the first set 6-0 but Bagi took the second 6-1.  Bagi was leading 4-3 in the third when Heads retired.

SHU won at #1 doubles senior Jacob Miller (West Chesterfield, NH) and junior Logan Mohring (Naples, FL) beat Marcinkowski and Carl Jedlinski, 8-5.
