Pioneers Honored by NFCA for Work in the Classroom

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (Aug. 29, 2013)—Seven members of the Sacred Heart Softball team were recognized as scholar-athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their work in the classroom in the 2012-13 school year. Taylor Lane (Lisbon, Conn.), Jade Bowins (Frederick, Md.), Annie Dreher (Saugus, Calif.), Wendi Westmark (Brookfield, Conn.), Kacie Wentworth (Canton, N.Y.), Liz DeBenedicts (Arlington, Mass.) and now-graduate Nicole Sidor (West Vancouver, British Columbia) achieved the 3.5 or higher grade point average necessary for the honor.
