SHU Softball Announces 2013 Fall Schedule

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (September 5, 2013)—The Sacred Heart softball team announced its fall preseason schedule Thursday afternoon. The Pioneers, who were 24-30 last season, open preseason competition on September 14 facing off with crosstown rivals University of Bridgeport and Fairfield University at home.
One week later, on September 21, Sacred Heart welcomes back past players for the Alumni Game at Pioneers Park at 11:00 a.m.
On September 28, the Pioneers will play two games in a tournament at Fairfield against the Stags and Providence College before traveling to Stony Brook the next day to play the Seawolves and LIU Post.
SHU closes out its fall schedule with a doubleheader against UMass on October 5.
