HANOVER, N.H. – The Sacred Heart men's hockey team led the Dartmouth Big Green 1-0 after one period at Thompson Arena Sunday afternoon, but Dartmouth scored four goals in the second on its way to an 8-3 win.
Sacred Heart (5-9-2) had a chance to get on the board early, going on the power play 0:54 into the game. The Big Green held the Pioneers to one shot on goal on the man advantage, but Sacred Heart kept pushing in the offensive zone. The Pioneers took the first four shots of the game, with Dartmouth's first shot coming on the power play over five minutes into the game. The Big Green had a couple chances to score with 12:07 remaining when Tim O'Brien was denied by Andrew Bodnarchuk (Saskatoon, Sask.), as was Carl Hesler as well.

The Big Green outshot Sacred Heart 16-7 in the first period, but Bodnarchuk stopped each and every shot in the frame to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead at intermission.
Dartmouth (6-4-1) tied the game 2:19 into the second period. Charlie Mosey fired a shot across the goal and past the stick of Bodnarchuk to level the game 1-1, getting an assist from O'Brien. The Pioneers had two power plays in the second period but were held scoreless on just two shots.
Barre put the Big Green ahead 4-1 with 2:05 left in the second, but Sacred Heart would get that goal back. With 1:21 remaining in the period, Drew George (Regina, Sask.) scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season by tapping home the rebound of a Ben Lake (Calgary, Alb.) wrister to make the score 4-2 heading into the third period. Dartmouth scored three unanswered goals in the third before Jordan Minello (Sweaburg, Ont.) scored a power play goal with 5:54 to play in the game, making the score 7-3.
