Kimmel Back-to-Back Double-Doubles...
Red shirt-junior Hannah Kimmel has recorded her second and third double-doubles of the season in consecutive games. In the Pioneers' take down of Big East member Villanova, the guard/forward tallied a career-best 33 points against the Wildcats while grabbing 10 rebounds. This past Saturday in the NEC-opener, Kimmel paced Sacred Heart with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Pioneers Against the NEC at Home...
Sacred Heart has had many magical moments in the William H. Pitt Center including clinching three Northeast Conference Championship. The Pioneers are 119-19 all-time against NEC opponents at home and 12-5 in Tournament play.
Preseason Picks...
The Pioneers were tabbed second in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, receiving four first place votes, behind reigning Champions the Robert Morris Colonials who garnered five first place votes. The CCSU Blue Devils finished tied with Fairleigh Dickinson for ninth place in the poll.
