
Wood Adds All-Met Honors to Season Tally

Fairfield, Conn. – After leading the Pioneers in scoring, assists, steals and blocks, senior Amelia Wood added another accolade to her trophy case when she was selected by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association as an All-Met Honorable Mention.
Wood adds this to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team accolades as well as MAAC All-Academic and CSC Academic All-District distinctions. Additionally, she adds this year's honors to a pair from her time in the NEC as she earned All-Rookie honors in her first season and followed that with third team accolades as a sophomore.
The Wynantskill, N.Y. native led the Pioneers and was ninth in the league with her 12.9 points per game average. In addition, she was second on the team with an average of 6.5 rebounds per game and led the team 65 steals, 65 assists and 32 blocks.
Wood was one of three players to start all 31 games in 2025-26, finishing 23 of the 31 games with double figures, including a stretch of 16 straight games and finished with 20+ in the scoring column in five games, four of which came in that scoring stretch.
Highlighting the season for Wood was a career-high 26 points which came in MAAC play on New Year's Day against Niagara where she finished 9-of-14 from the field with five three pointers. Wood also had a pair of halfcourt buzzer beaters during her senior season, one of which made its way onto Sports Center's Top-10.
For her career, Wood graduates as the 14th leading scorer in program history with 1,278 career points. Additionally, she is among the top-10 in three-point field goals (4th, 175), free throw percentage (8th, .763) and steals (5th, 205).
Wood and the Pioneers closed out the 2025-26 campaign with a 13-18 overall record and a mark of 10-10 in the MAAC and earning the programs first appearance in the MAAC Championship in Atlantic City, N.J. where the Pioneers defeated Saint Peter's in the first round before falling to eventual conference champion Fairfield.
