Box Score FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Sacred Heart men's soccer team closed the 2015 season with a 2-1 win against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at Campus Field Sunday.
Sacred Heart (2-12-1, 1-6-0 NEC) took a 1-0 halftime lead on a Shaquille Saunchez goal in the 33rd minute, knocking in the rebound of an Ezra Siyadhuba shot that hit the crossbar. Fairleigh Dickinson (2-12-3, 0-5-2 NEC) tied the game in the 52nd minute with a header goal by Ahu Obhakhan. Six minutes later, sophomore Matt Manzo scored the eventual game-winning goal. Manzo crashed the net to send home the rebound of a Kieran Walsh shot. Senior goalkeeper Tucker Hackett made four saves in the second half to ensure the victory.
Prior to the game, Sacred Heart honored the six seniors on the 2015 men's soccer team – Hackett, Callum Smith, Mahmoud Kafel, Jamal Vinson, Giancarlo Maurello, and Andrew Bregna. Sacred Heart outshot FDU 25-13, putting 12 shots on goal.
First Half
-       In the 9th minute, a shot by Mahmoud Kafel was saved by FDU goalkeeper Matthew Weigner.
-       Hackett got his first save of the game on a shot by Jordon Ellison in the 22nd minute.
-       Dylan Santos had a header go over the goal off of a Walsh corner kick in the 25th minute.
-       Siyadhuba had a shot saved by Weigner in the 33rd minute.
-       Kafel had three shots all saved by Weigner in the 34th, 36th, and 40th minute.
Second Half
-       A shot by Walsh was saved by Weigner in the 58th minute.
-       Both Santos and Siyadhuba had a shot miss wide in the 59th and 61st minute respectively.
-       Saunchez and Siyadhuba both had a shot saved in a span of three minutes.
-       Jamal Vinson had a shot in the 79th minute blocked by Weigner.
-       In the 88th minute, Vinson hit the post with a shot from the top of the box.
