
Women's Ice Hockey fall to Wesleyan 5-3

Middletown, Conn - Sacred Heart women's hockey team lost to Wesleyan 5-3 on Saturday despite goals from Radovich, Ketchum and junior forward Brittany Smith.
Wesleyan opened the scoring after 14:01 into the first period on a goal by Jess Brennan, assisted by Alicia Nickolenko. Just over a minute later at 15:13 Wesleyan added a second goal through Rachel Aronow assisted by Allie Damren and Cici Frattasio. The Pioneers responded at 17:08 off the power play with a goal from Carly Radovich.
Wesleyan opened the scoring in the second period at 11:54 with goal from Alexis Banquer. Teagan Ketchum responded for SHU at 17:51 before Wesleyan added another two minutes later on the power play at the 20:00 minute mark with a goal by Kendall Carr.
Both teams went back and forth in the third period each scoring once. Junior forward Brittany Smith scored after just 1:03 of the third period assisted by Ketchum. Wesleyan scored their fifth goal at 6:56 in the third period to put the game out of reach for SHU on an assist from Alex Horton.
The Pioneers will be back in action Friday 2. December at Franklin Pierce at 7:00 PM
