Carlson Earns First Co-NEC Pitcher of the Week Honor

Jamie Carlson (Corona, Calif.) earned her first Co-Northeast Conference Pitcher of the Week award as she was a force in the circle as she went the distance in Sacred Heart's 1-0 win over Manhattan on Saturday. The junior gave up two hits and struck out a season-high 12 batters, one off her career-high, for her third win of the season. Despite fielding errors in the third and fourth innings that placed runners on third both times, the Corona, CA product would not be phased as she struck out the next batter on both occasions to get out of the inning.
