Lauren Delgadillo Earns All-NEC Second Team Honors

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (May 11, 2016)—Lauren Delgadillo (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) of the Sacred Heart softball team was named to the All-Northeast Conference second team Wednesday afternoon as announced by the league via Twitter. The sophomore led the Pioneers in seven offensive categories, including batting average (.296) and slugging percentage (.402), during the 2015-16 campaign.

Delgadillo has been a constant in centerfield for SHU since making her rookie debut last year, and started all 49 games this season for the Pioneers. In those games she amounted a team-best 50 hits, 12 of which were for extra bases as she paced Sacred Heart with nine doubles and three homeruns collecting 68 total bases as she went.
