Bianculli Represents SHU at IHSA Western National Championship

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 9, 2016)—Noelle Bianculli competed in the IHSA National Championship this past weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. becoming the first in program history to represent Sacred Heart on the national level in a western competition after earning Regional High Point Rider in February.
Competing among the Top 25 riders in the nation, the senior was in 17th place after phase one, but a costly error in the second phase, reining, dropped her down in the final standings.
In the same February competition that she punched her ticket to Nationals, Bianculli led SHU to its second straight Western Regional Championship. She, and a quartet of Pioneers, then represented Sacred Heart at the National Western Individual Semifinals in March qualifying by finishing in the Top 2 in the region in their respective events, while the team took eighth at Semifinals.
