WORCESTER, Mass. - A third period goal from Olivia Bryant was not enough to prevent a narorw 2-1 loss over the Holy Cross Crusaders. Holy Cross took a first period lead with a power play goal. SHU tied thre game early in the third at the 3:49 mark by Bryant, putting the puck past Holy Cross' Julia Pelletier.
Holy Cross scored less than four minutes after to seal the game at 2-1 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Holy Cross move to 5-2-1 for the season narrowly outshooting SHU, 30 to 22. SHU move to 4-3-0 for the season.
Both teams will complete their two game weekend series Nov. 12 at 2:00 p.m.
