How it Happened:
- Sacred Heart University responded after Assumption scored early in the period, with Antonakis finding the net late in the first off assists from Maddie Smith and Bria Holm to shift momentum. Petruno stood strong in goal with 16 saves to keep Sacred Heart in control, and the teams were evenly matched at the faceoff circle, tied 10–10.
- Assumption scored twice early in the second period, but Kailey Smith answered with her first goal of the season off an assist from Limke to keep Sacred Heart within striking distance. Petruno made nine saves in the frame, while Sacred Heart controlled possession with a 12–6 edge in faceoffs and outshot Assumption 19–17.
- LaRoche tied the game in the third period, keeping Sacred Heart in contention. Petruno made 11 saves in net, and Sacred Heart dominated the faceoff circle 11–4, despite being outshot 18–13 by Assumption.
- Bria Holm scored the game-winning goal in overtime, giving Sacred Heart the victory. The team outshot Assumption 4–3 and controlled the faceoff circle 3–1 to secure the win.
