Alejandro Arribas Named NEC Rookie Of The Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn.— Sacred Heart men's soccer freshman Alejandro Arribas was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 17.
Arribas was a key factor in the Pioneers 2-1 overtime win over Saint Joseph's this past Tuesday. The rookie recorded the game tying goal in the 89th minute to force overtime. His playmaking continued in overtime as he broke through the Hawks defense and set up the ball for Ermir Celaj to fire home the game winning goal. The goal and assist were Arribas first collegiate points. He also recorded a game-high six shots in the Pioneers 2-1 double overtime loss to Siena College.
The Pioneers end four-game homestand on Wednesday against Iona College at 4:00 p.m. on Park Ave. Field.
