Curras Earns NEC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart men's soccer midfielder Oscar Curras was named the Northeast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Pioneers to a win over Iona last week.
Curras scored the game-winning goal in SHU's 1-0 overtime win over the Gaels last Wednesday at Park Avenue Field. The sophomore took an Ermir Celaj assist and scored his second goal of the year in the 97th minute. Curras' other goal this season was also an overtime winner, giving SHU a 2-1 win over Saint Peter's in the Pioneers' home opener on Sept. 9.
Sacred Heart, which has won three of its last four games, travels to take on Army West Point Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
