NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University Women's tennis team fell to Siena this afternoon by a final score of 4-3. The Pioneers will return to action on Wednesday, October 9 when SHU travels to face Monmouth. Matches begin at 3:30 p.m.

In singles play, first-year Vitalina Golod defeated Meagan Brown 6-7 (5), 6-4, 10-8 while junior Kiera Tobia defeated Anastasia Koniaev 7-6 (7), 6-0 and fellow junior Laura Crivei picked up a victory against Sarah Marro in straight sets 6-2, 6-0. In doubles play, the duo of junior Lauren Santarsiero and Laura Crivei earned a victory defeating Nanea Perkins and Juliana Goehner 6-3.
