WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team showcased strong performances this past weekend at the West Point Hidden Duals, its second fall tournament of the season.
Ten of SHU's 11 players earned victories, highlighted by first-years Ava Nelson and Brooke Tuffs, along with sophomore Kailin Gochna, who each picked up three wins—two in doubles and one in singles. Sophomore Kiah James added three more victories, all coming in doubles play.
The Army Invitational featured eight teams, including host Army, NJIT, Fordham, Bucknell, FDU, and MAAC rivals Fairfield and Quinnipiac.
The Pioneers will return to action this Friday, Oct 3rd at Quinnipiac University for the MAAC Masters Tournament.
