Women's Tennis Drop MAAC Semifinal to Mount

PRINCETON, N.J. — The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team dropped a heartbreaking 4–3 decision to Mount St Mary's on Friday afternoon in the Semifinal Round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) at the Princeton University Racquet and Fieldhouse.
The Mountaineers secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. The duo of Olivia Zuba and Ola Irla Bartyzel earned a 6–4 victory at first doubles.
Bartyzel dominated at No. 1 singles with a commanding 6–1, 6–4 win. Ava Nelson earned a dominant 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles. Olivia Zuba had a gritty 6-4, 7-6 (4) win at #4 Singles.
Tied at 3-3, it all came down to #5 Singles where Mount had a straight set victory to seal the match.
The Pioneers will finish the 2025-26 season 10-10 doubling their win total from last season.
