
Softball Inks Three National Letter of Intents

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University softball team announced the National Letter of Intent signings of three student-athletes to join the program for the 2021-22 season.
"We are very excited about our 2020 NLI signees," stated head coach Pam London. These young ladies are extremely strong students and are incredible athletes. They will fit right into our culture of being a strong student and loyal teammate. I am looking forward to welcoming them in the fall of 2021!".
Jessica Ruiz
Hometown: Whittier, California
High School: La Habra High School
Position: Catcher/First-Base

"Jessica is a 'pitcher friendly' catcher. She is vocal and supportive with her pitchers and bring out the best in them. Her energy and skills behind the plate instantly caught our eye. We look forward to the huge role Jess will play on our squad throughout her career."
Academic Accolades:
- Scholar Athlete Award winner in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
- FPFA (Forensics, Police and Fire Academy) Excel Student.
- Member of the Heritage Humanities Magnet Program.
Athletic Accomplishments:
- Four-year varsity softball player.
- Only freshman on varsity softball team in 2017-18.
- Compiled a .333 career batting average.
Morgan Teodosio
Hometown: Ansonia, Conn.
High School: Seymour High School
Position: Center Field/First-Base

"Morgan is a strong athlete who has a ton of potential. She gives us another solid bat from the left side of the plate and she is also a talented outfielder. Morgan is one of the top players in our home state of Connecticut and we are proud to have her in our program."

Carly Koltko
Hometown: Redondo Beach, California
High School: Redondo Union High School
Position: Picher/First-Base

"Carly is an impact player. She will play a very big role as a freshman. Whether in the circle, the batter's box, or at first-base, I have no doubt Carly will be contributing to her team's success. We are super excited to have an athlete of Carly's talent on board."
