Lewis Named NEWHA Player of the Week

WINTHROP, Ma.- Sacred Heart University Women's Ice Hockey senior forward Jayne Lewis was tabbed NEWHA Player of the Week as announced by the conference this afternoon. This is the third time this season the senior has received this honor.

Lewis tallied three goals during two games against league rival Saint Anselm last weekend. The senior from Troy, Ill., tallied two goals in the Pioneers 4-1 win on Friday. On Saturday, she picked up her 20th goal of the year, which is a career high for the senior.

The Pioneers wrap up the regular season this week on Friday, Feb. 14 when the Pioneers kick off a two-game set at Saint Michael's. Puck-drop is set for 7:00 p.m.
