Cheerleading Wraps Competition Season At NECA

The Sacred Heart University Cheerleading squad continued its award-winning season by taking first place at the New England Cheerleaders Association's New England Open Cheer Championship.
The Pioneers red team, which won the 2020 UCA Division I All-Girls National Championship in January, won the overall competition. The white team also performed well, capturing third place, just behind local rival Fairfield University. Both Pioneer teams surpassed CCSU and Wester Connecticut State University.
The NECA regional concludes the competition season for SHU cheerleading.
