Equestrian Welcomes In 17 To Join Team For 2020 Season

FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University Equestrian team announced the incoming class of 2024 which features a total of 17 riders to join the team for the 2020 season.
"We are looking forward to welcoming our class of 2024 to the Pioneer family. Along with their academic strengths of being the highest GPA by class to be recruited for the program, they bring diversity among events which will broaden the depths in our roster positions. We will work together to face the challenges of the upcoming season and continue to express our appreciation for what we are able to do." Head Coach Tiffany Hajdasz stated on the large incoming class.
This is the largest class that the team has brought in program history as well as increases their roster to the largest ever with a total of 40 which is nine more than the original record of 31. The incoming class features 15 freshman, one transfer and one walk-on. The team returns 14 sophomores, four juniors and five seniors to round out the 40 rider roster.
