
Emily Bloom Named Rookie of the Week

First-year finished in top 10 at Vermont Fall Foliage
SOMERSET, N.J.— Sacred Heart University women's cross country runner Emily Bloom was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, announced by the league on Wednesday.
It is the first weekly honor for Bloom and the first for the Pioneers since Kathleen Delaney in 2019. Kelly Iocca from LIU was named Runner of the Week.
A native of Colchester, Vt., Bloom led the Pioneers for the third time this season at the Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational. She notched a top-10 performance, finishing seventh with a time of 19:19.90.
Sacred Heart runs at the Central Connecticut State Mini-Meet on Friday, October 16 at 4 p.m.
