Both women and men improved their mark from 2019
BRONX, N.Y.— The Sacred Heart University, men's and women's cross country teams, competed at the ECAC/IC4A Championship on Saturday.
Isabella Rogler, who was named ECAC All-East, led the women with a top-40 performance of 19:27, finishing 38th overall. Alisha Stadnicki rounded out the top-50 in 49th place with a time of 19:46. Emily Bloom (20:32), Kelly Parker (20:36), Brigit Kelly (20:53), Sarah Mandelkow (21:10) and Grace Sousa (21:19) all scored for Sacred Heart. The women improved by one place since the last time competing at ECAC's when the team finished 13th in 2019.
Moetiz Shilleh led the men and claimed a 76th overall finish with a time of 27:46. Gediyon Prince (28:26), Kevin Martin (29:17), Christopher Gillis (29:39), Lance Hayes (30:21), Jordan Leon (31:25) and Mario Montuori (32:28) also scored for the Pioneers. The men improved to 12th place after not placing as a team in 2019.
This concludes the 2021 cross country season. Sacred Heart returns a majority of runners next year, including Bloom who earned Northeast Conference All-Conference honors. Rogler and Prince also return to the squad.
