Hagood Named NEC Player of the Week

Graduate student led Pioneers with season-high 25 points at Monmouth
SOMERSET, N.J.— Sacred Heart University women's basketball guard Adrianne Hagood was named Northeast Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday. Lina Loceniece of Wagner was named the NEC Rookie of the Week.
Hagood scored a season-high 25 points in Sacred Heart's 63-60 overtime win at Monmouth. The graduate student shot 7-of-16 overall, 6-of-11 from behind the arc and 5-of-6 at the charity stripe. Hagood also grabbed four rebounds while notching one steal and one block.
The Washington D.C. native received the weekly honor for the first time in her career. She joins teammate Sonia Smith, who was named Player of the Week on November 15.
Sacred Heart hosts Iona on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.
