- Bryant jumped out first in the opening half as Ben Williams ripped a goal by goalie Josh Inkel in the 32nd minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead.
- SHU dominated the corner kick opportunities 8-1 in the first half.
- The rest of the scoring came in the second half as Bryant upped their lead to 2-0 just 2:48 into the half as Diego Rodriguez gave the Bulldogs the needed insurance goal.
- Williams again would strike at the 63rd minute of the game to increase the Bryant lead to 3-0.
- But the Pioneers didn't give up hope as senior Matt Reis scored his first goal of the year off a feed from Rob Taylor IV just a minute later to narrow the Bulldog lead to 3-1.
- After Bryant answered back in the 80th minute to take a 4-1 lead, first-year Olliver Persson would score his first collegiate goal and the final goal of the game off an assist by Segundo Navarro to result in the 4-2 loss.
