Box Score FAIRFIELD, Conn. – After letting a lead slip away on Saturday, the Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team made sure to not repeat itself on Wednesday. The Pioneers built a three-goal lead on their way to a 12-11 victory at Bryant.

SHU was a house of fire to open the game, jumping out to a 6-1 advantage at the 13:59 mark thanks to three goals from Grace Reinold and two more from Lydia Werlau.
The Bulldogs turned the tables and outscored the Pioneers 5-1 to dwindle the halftime lead to 7-6.
During a 10-minute stretch midway through the second half, Kerri Metzler scored two goals and assisted on another to establish an 11-8 lead.
Metzler – who posted a career-high five assists – helped out on Reinold's career-high fifth score to stake SHU to a 12-9 advantage with 8:10 to play. The Bulldogs got within a goal with 2:51 to play but only got one shot the rest of the game.
Bryant had the 16-9 advantage in draw controls but the Pioneers made up for it with a 21-13 margin in ground balls.
