Box Score 3 WEST POINT, N.Y..— The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team had a tremendous outing outing at the Army Mock Duals that took place Friday through Sunday. The Pioneers recorded a 15-12 overall record that included 9-6 in singles and 6-6 in doubles.
Junior
Lefteri Apostolou went undefeated as he finished the weekend with a 5-0 record. The Barquisimeto, Venezuela, native picked up two No. 1 singles victories against Army's A.J. Woodman (5-7, 7-6 (7-3), 10-5) and Holy Cross's Connor Nelson (6-0, 6-4).
Apostolou also posted three wins in doubles. The junior won his first with junior
Adhurim Tetaj by a score of 7-6 (7-5) against Rider's Stavros Hadjivarnava and Roger Pelaez Martinez. Apostolou tallied two victories with graduate student
Alberto Mello against Marist's Dylan Friedman/Alex Thompson (6-3) and NJIT's Pavel Petrov/Samuel Towns (7-6).
Up next, Sacred Heart returns to Army for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals on Friday and Saturday.
