Start of NEWHA Conference Play
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Pioneers will start NEWHA Conference play tomorrow at the Sports Center of Connecticut as the road team for their matchup against Post.
Kelly Solak and Molly Elmore are coming off the opening week with NEWHA award recognitions, with Solak winning Defensive Player of the Week and Elmore receiving Honorable Mention for her play in goal.

Assistant Captain Nicole Guidi also played a massive role in last weekend's opening games against Clarkson, blocking multiple shots sent on goal. In both Friday and Saturdays games, her enduring style of play in front of goaltenders Elmore and Carly Greene contributed to the stingy defense that SHU displayed all weekend long. Nicole was also vital in the teams attack against Clarkson assisting on the goal that was scored by Delani Mackay in Saturday's 2 to 1 contest.
Post comes off their opening weekend with a split against NEWHA opponent Saint Michael's College.
