Connecticut Hockey Foundation Game is Jan. 21

SHU hosting Holy Cross at Martire Family Arena
FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Connecticut Hockey Foundation will hold its annual fundraiser on Jan. 21 when the Sacred Heart Men's Hockey Team hosts Holy Cross at Martire Family Arena at 7 p.m.
Formed in August 2016 in memory of Connecticut hockey icon Jason Pagni, the Connecticut Hockey Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization, with a mission to support the sport of hockey to participants of all backgrounds, regardless of one's ability or limited resources within Connecticut.
Highlighting this year's game is the Connecticut Hockey Foundation's extensive raffle and silent auction event, featuring donations from current professional hockey players whose lives Pagni touched. Signed NHL jerseys and equipment, hockey game tickets, and non-hockey items including restaurant gift cards, and other unique donations, and special surprises will be included. It is also expected that the Connecticut Hockey Foundation will be honoring its initial grant recipients as part of this year's fundraiser in memory of Pagni.
Pagni was a 1990 graduate of The Avon Old Farms School who dedicated his life to advocating, developing and touching the lives of parents and players on all levels of the sport from youth hockey, high school, prep school, college and the National Hockey League. Pagni suddenly passed away on Jan. 31, 2014, at the age of 43, leaving his loving wife and two young daughters.
