
Men’s Soccer Places Two on CSC Academic All-District

Taylor and Persson posted over a 3.5+ GPA
GREENWOOD, Ind..— Sacred Heart University men's soccer members Rob Taylor IV and Olliver Persson were selected to the College Sports Communicators Division I Academic All-District Team, announced by the association on Tuesday.
Taylor, a senior, possesses a 3.65 GPA and will graduate with his bachelor of science in finance and sport management in 2023. The Mahway, N.J., native notched two goals on the season for Sacred Heart.
Persson, a junior, holds a 3.79 grade point average and is currently pursuing his bachelor of science in management. This season, the Haugesund, Norway, native was second for the Pioneers in scoring with two goals and one assist. Persson was named Northeast Conference co-player of the week on Oct. 24.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
Sacred Heart is coming off one of its best seasons. The Pioneers finished the year at 7-9-1 and posted its first DI postseason victory in program history.
