Pryor Collects Third NEC Rookie of the Week Honors

First year had great showing in Florida
SOMERSET, N.J.— Sacred Heart University women's basketball guard Ny'Ceara Pryor picked up her third Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honors after a trip to the Sunshine State.
The Baltimore, Md., native is the first SHU rookie since Kelsey Wood in 2021 to earn this accolade three times.
Pryor had a stellar performance for the Pioneers at the Florida Atlantic Thanksgiving Tournament. The first year posted her second double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds along with three assists and five steals against Butler. Pryor also recorded a second 20+ point performance with 23 while notching four assists and three steals at FAU.
With eight combined steals the last two games, the guard now leads the nation in total steals with 30.
Sacred Heart returns to action on Thursday as it travels to Army for a 4 p.m. tip.
