Martire Family Arena Opening Night Sold Out

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Opening night for the Sacred Heart University Men's Hockey Team at the Martire Family Arena is sold out, but admission to the women's team grand opening celebration and game the next day is free and available.
"The demand for tickets has been unbelievable, both for opening night and the rest of the season," said Judy Ann Riccio, Sacred Heart's director of athletics. "We made tickets available to the SHU community for the grand opening weekend, and we are excited to have everyone see the spectacular new home of SHU Hockey. We hope those who were unable to purchase tickets for opening night will join us for the women's game on Sunday and the rest of the contests for both teams."
The Pioneer men play Boston College on Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. Festivities, which include music, food and games (in and outside), begin when the doors open at 5 p.m. on opening night. Similar plans are scheduled before the SHU women host Harvard on Jan. 15 at 3 p.m.
Individual game tickets go on sale Thursday, Dec. 15, at noon on ticketmaster.com for the seven remaining regular season men's contests at MFA. There could be additional dates at MFA this winter as both teams could host conference playoff games.
