First year now tied with Gabrielle Washington in rookie accolades
SOMERSET, N.J— Sacred Heart University women's basketball guard Ny'Ceara Pryor was selected as the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season on Monday.
The Baltimore, Md. native is now tied with Gabrielle Washington (2011-15) in the number of conference weekly rookie accolades. Amanda Pape (2003-07) is currently the leader in program history with seven.
Pryor led the Pioneers with 14 points, nine rebounds and three steals against Providence on December 20.
St. Francis Brooklyn's Alyssa Fisher was named the league's Player of the Week.
Sacred Heart hosts Mercy for its New Year's Eve game on December 31 at 1 p.m.
