Davis and Dudley will join Pioneers for the 2023-24 season
FAIRFIELD, Conn.— Sacred Heart University Women's Basketball Head Coach Jessica Mannetti announced the additions of Thai Davis and Nalyce Dudley to the 2023 signing class on Tuesday.
"I am excited to welcome Thai and Nalyce to our program," said Mannetti. "Thai brings a wealth of high-level experience, and can immediately add depth to our backcourt. Nalyce is a big guard and high-motor player who will add value to our rebounding, pace, and scoring. Both are outstanding students and will blend perfectly into our program culture and SHU community."
Davis is a 5-foot-6 guard from Stoughton, Mass. During her high school career at Beaver Country Day School, she helped the Beavers win the 2020 NEPSAC Class C title while earning a spot on the league's all-star team. Davis has also been playing AAU ball for the Bay State Jaguars since 2013. Off the court, she was selected to the BCDS Honor Roll in 2020 and 2021 and earned high honors in 2022. Davis is a recipient of the 2022 Alex Cohn Grant Scholarship and Modern Language Award for Chinese.
Dudley is a 5-foot-10 forward from Norwich, Conn. She currently plays for New London High School, where she led the Whalers to the 2022 Eastern Connecticut Conference title in her junior season. Dudley tallied 81 points in the league tournament and was selected Most Outstanding Player. She was named the 2022 All-Area Girls Basketball Player of the Year by The New London Day for her performance. Off the court, Dudley earned a 3.9 grade point average.
