Elmore Gets Shutout
COLCHESTER, VT. — Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey hit the road Friday to visit Saint Michael's College, winning 1-0.
Sydney Antonakis scored the only goal of the contest with help from Olivia LaRoche and Nicole Bessinger 7:47 into the third period. The Pioneers controlled most of the gameflow and outshot the Purple Knights 43-12 on the evening.
Molly Elmore made her ninth start between the posts, stopping 12 shots from the Purple Knights and allowing no goals.
SHU goes to 7-12-1 on the year and 7-6-1 in NEWHA play. The Pioneers will be back in action tomorrow afternoon in a rematch against Saint Michael's tomorrow at 4 p.m.
