BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team had its three game win streak snapped on Friday as they fell to Canisius 3-1.

Of Note:

The Pioneers jumped out to an early lead as sophomore John Jaworksi scored his eighth goal of the season just two minutes into the opening period.
Canisius countered with a pair of goals by Keaton Mastrodonato and Max Kouznetsov at 10:30 and 15:49 in the first period to take a 2-1 lead after one.
The Golden Griffins added one more goal in the game as Ryan Miotto found the back of the net 13:07 into the third period to secure the 3-1 victory.
The Pioneers tallied 39 shots on goal in the game while going 0-2 on the power-play.
