Luginbuhl produce 23-kill, 13-dig double-double
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Riding the momentum from Saturday night's thrilling victory, the Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team capped the SHU Invitational with another win to capture the tournament crown. The Pioneers downed Stony Brook, 3-1 (26-24, 18-25, 25-19, 28-26), on Sunday at the Pitt Center.

Sacred Heart's offensive attack was the difference in the match as the Pioneers hit a season-high .310, including .390 in the final set.
Stony Brook had the lead for most of set four until Camryn Luginbuhl sandwiched a pair of kills around a block from her and Kate Anderson. SBU held off three match points, but Anderson and Luginbuhl produced back-to-back kills to end the contest.
Three Luginbuhl aces gave SHU a 17-11 lead in set one. The Pioneers let the Seawolves tie the set at 24-24 before Reghan Palanchi produced a kill then teamed up Jasmine Rogers for a block.
After dropping set two, the Pioneers grabbed a quick lead in set three that it would not relinquish. Two Brooke Jeffrey kills came between winners from Anderson and Luginbuhl.
Tying her career-high was Luginbuhl with a match-best 23 kills. She also had a great defensive performance with 13 digs and a career-high five blocks. Rogers had her second double-double in a row with 14 kills and 15 digs. Setter Sarah Ciszek had 52 assists, her most since producing 56 against Hartford on October 20, 2019.
