IRVINE, Calif. – Looking to end the West Coast trip to the UC Irvine Invitational on the high note, the Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team broke out the brooms on Saturday. The Pioneers swept Holy Cross, 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-16).

Of Note:
A pair of Dominique Felix kills opened an 18-15 lead in set one. SHU closed on a 6-0 run that included a pair of blocks by Reghan Palanchi and Camryn Luginbuhl.
The Crusaders pulled within 20-19 in the second set, but a HC service error and a rejection by Sarah Ciszek and Palanchi gave SHU the margin it needed.
The Pioneers had their best offensive match of the early campaign, hitting a season-best .292. SHU also had a 9-3 blocking advantage.
Continuing her strong performance throughout the weekend was Luginbuhl as she had a match-high 12 kills to go along with a season-high six blocks.
Ciszek ran a balanced offensive attack as six-different players had five or more kills, including seven for herself. The San Juan Capistrano, Calif. native added 32 assists and 10 digs for the double-double.
