WEST POINT, N.Y.—The Sacred Heart University women's track and field team participated in the Army West Point Open over the weekend.
Megan Schneider and
Alisha Stadnicki were the top-two finishers for the Pioneers. Schneider highlighted the 1000 meter at 3:30.21, while Stadnicki was first in the mile at 5:28.58.
Sacred Heart took over the 1000 meter event, as the Pioneers claimed first place through 10
th place. With Schneider in first,
Meghan O'Donnell was second overall at 3:33.82 and
Keegan Pepin was third in 3:24.24, to follow.
Jada Alston and
Maya Mocarski were second and third overall, respectively in the 60 meters. Alston finished at 7.89 and Mocarski was at 9.96. Alston recorded another top-10 performance of the day as she was seventh in the 200 meter at 27.17.
Angela Kaiser had a top-three finish in the 3000 meter at 10:35.13.
Kaylee Stenderowicz also finished in third place for the Pioneers in the long jump at 5.15. meters.
The 4x400 relay of
Ava Srinivasan,
Tori Chorzepa,
Megan Schneider,
Madison Breckner finished third overall with a 4:24.56 time.
Sacred Heart is back in action next Saturday January 14 at the Lehigh University Angry Birds Challenge.
