Gracia Martinez picks up his first goal of the season
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's soccer team tallied their second Northeast Conference win against Central Connecticut State University, 2-0, at home on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers have improved their record to 5-6-2 (2-1-2 NEC). Matthias Dick and Koke Gracia Martinez found the back of the net in the victory

The Pioneers opened scoring in the 26th minute when Dick shot the ball high and left off the keeper's deflection of David Garcia Gallego's initial shot.
The Pios' second goal came when a foul was drawn outside the box in the 80th minute and Dick's free kick met the foot of Gracia Martinez for a high left goal. This is his first goal of the season and second career goal as a sophomore defender.
SHU outshot the Blue Devils 13-6 and 7-3 on goal. CCSU saw two more corner opportunities than SHU with a total of three and SHU, one.
The Blue Devils saw a few opportunities to score but were unable to get past keeper, Andrew Hammersley, who recorded three saves en route to his fourth shutout of the season.
With just almost three minute's remaining in the game, CCSU was given a straight red card and had to finish the game with 10 players.
