WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Sacred Heart University men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 conference win against Howard University on Thursday afternoon.
Javier Lopez Cayuela and
Ethan Kilmnick each tallied a goal in the Pioneers' win.

The Pioneers opened scoring in the 20
th minute as
Matthias Dick sent in a corner kick, connecting with Cayuela, who put away a header into the bottom left corner of the goal.
The second SHU goal game in the 80
th minute off a give-and-go down the left side of the field. A perfectly placed cross from
Asa Moskowitz met the foot of
Ethan Kilmnick for his first goal as a Pioneer.
The Bison only saw a couple of opportunities but could not get past keeper
Andrew Hammersley who made three saves en route to his fifth shutout of the season.
The Bison outshot SHU nine to seven and earned six corners compared to SHU's four. The Pioneers tallied four shots on goal to Howard's three.
