Graduate student notched 100th career point Tuesday night
BOSTON (November 1, 2023) – Graduate student forward Braeden Tuck (Calgary, Alberta) of the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team has been named as Atlantic Hockey Player of the Month for the month of October, as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the league office.
Through the season's first month, Tuck is Atlantic Hockey's leading scorer, with nine points on three goals and six assists. He also ranks inside the top five in the league in assists, assists per game (0.86), points per game (1.29) and plus/minus (+4).
Tuck has done the vast majority of his damage in league games, as he has gone for 3-5-8 in just five games against Atlantic Hockey competition, which is good for the league lead in both points and assists.
Tuck recorded his 100th career point with a first-period assist in SHU's 6-1 win over Army on Tuesday night. On the season, he has recorded nine shots on goal and four blocks. He has scored one power-play goal.
SHU (3-4-0, 3-2-0 AHA) is on the road for non-conference action this weekend, with a Sunday tilt at Long Island University. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow, N.Y.
