Payne-Parris, Moniz, Sandquist, and Smith finish with a team-best three wins

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – After a month on the road, the Sacred Heart University women's wrestling team competed for the first time inside the Pitt Center on Sunday afternoon. The No. 6 Pioneers rolled past Delaware Valley, 46-1, and New England College, 48-0, while knocking off No. 7 Lock Haven, 28-19, in their final dual match of the day.

Notables:

With the three wins, Sacred Heart is now 8-2 in dual matches and has won their last seven dual matches.
Aaliyah Payne-Parris, Nohea Moniz, Madison Sandquist, and Jacklyn Smith finished with a team-best three wins.
Ahsia Torres, Alexandra Fitzgerald, Bayley Trang, Aliza Leander, and Love Daley recorded two victories on the day.
The third match of the day saw the Pioneers trail the Bald Eagles, 18-15, but back-to-back tech falls by Sandquist and Daley gave the hosts a 25-18 lead heading into the final match between Jacklyn Smith and Trinity Monagan in the 191 weight class.
